PVC corner brackets

Tulle by the yard or Mosquito Netting

To Build an outdoor habitat, to protect caterpillars from birds.

This tulle probably wouldn’t work as well for an indoor habitat, since the mesh is very coarse and the caterpillars fit right through when they were young. If you do want to construct an indoor shelter, I would use a mosquito netting or this tulle. The mosquitto netting has more stiffness to it and helps the caterpillars stay in.

Tools:

Ratcheting PVC cutter recommended for cutting the PVC pipes to size.

You can also use a hacksaw to do the cutting

How to:

Measure the enclosure size and cut the PVC pipes. Then, dig small holes at each corner and install the base posts. Use the corner brackets to attach the pipes. Then, drape the tulle or netting around it. You can use a clothespin to hold the fabric together, or use a sewing machine to sew to size, or even duct tape works.
